Our pristine micro-camp enjoys pride of place on an exclusive southeastern floodplain in Botswana’s unique oasis ecosystem, UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Okavango Delta. Here, the gentle sway of the palms seems to wave ‘hello and welcome to our home in the wilderness’.

Nestled just a short distance from Camp Maru, Amber River Camp is the perfect retreat for those looking to experience a luxurious getaway in the heart of nature. With its spectacular location on an island in the permanent Sandididebe Channel, guests can enjoy water activities throughout the year. Wake up to a breathtaking sunrise, or end the day with an enchanting sunset from the comfort of your luxury tent. Amber River Camp boasts six exquisite luxury tents, three on each side of the island, connected by a treelined walkway.

This traditional reed and canvas-style camp offers tents on raised decks, featuring outside bathtubs, indoor showers, and a double vanity area sporting a picture frame ‘Ferrari’ gauze window above for awe-inspiring views across the floodplain.

Our barefoot luxury, spacious safari tents are beautifully designed to imbue your senses with the sights and sounds of the Okavango Delta. The plush linens, fans, and luxury amenities promise a comfortable and relaxing stay. Our innovative ‘cool canvas’ technology facilitates an environmentally friendly, sustainable ambient temperature.

We highly recommend spending time in camp to soak up the sights and sounds our wetland wonderland offers. The pool area is where it’s at! Let the animals come to you in camp. They go about their daily life undisturbed as you observe them from a safe distance on our tranquil sun-drenched pool deck.
